In 2003 I brought Tana from Idaho to Europe. While I was sheepherding in Montana I went to some herding trials in Idaho and met family Lemmert from Moyie Spring - Idaho, who just had a litter of aussies. I brought Tana home with me on an airplane. That wasn't too heavy, because she was just a tiny puppy.
She is a special dog for us. She was our first australian shepherd and will always be special. Now she is an adult dog, who loves freesbee, water, balls... We do some agility, frisbee; but most of all we love hiking in the Alps, swiming in clear streams or lakes of the mountains or climbing some more difficult hikes in higher places. She can be also a couch potato in the evenings and mornings, when she needs some love and attention. We give her lots of cuddling.
She is smart and a hard worker and needs to do something all the time. If you don't keep her busy she will find a stick, a ball or some other toy and will beg you to throw sticks, balls etc. for her. But she stays calm inside and does not mess the appartment up. Never. She is a well manered doggie.
She had a litter of six beautiful puppies in year 2006. You san see the litter page with all information about sire and the dam, about puppies here. All puppies are grown up now and are very active, some do obedience and are riding partners at owners with horses.
You can check out more Tana's photos in this album and on flickr.
